WEST LOOP GUEST BATH

PROJECT BRIEF

This fully remodeled bathroom, located in a residential loft with exposed concrete ceilings in Chicago’s vibrant West Loop neighborhood, showcases the dynamic interplay of high-contrast materials.  Through the thoughtful layering of light, what could have been a dim, shadowy space is transformed into a bright, inviting environment, allowing guests to adjust the lighting to suit different times of day.  In addition to strategically placed cove and recessed lighting, Hoiland Studios incorporated a linear LED beneath the floating vanity, which not only eliminates the shadow cast by the recessed light above but also serves as a soft nightlight, adding both functionality and warmth.
