In August 2022, I got married at Château de Courtomer in Normandy, France, with our immediate families and a few close friends in attendance. The château sits on 360 acres of parkland, woodland, and farmland, and it was ours for five days!

The primary reason we selected this château was because of the beautiful architectural details, many inspired by Versailles. The interior was flooded with natural light, the stately rooms had lavish "wedding cake" moldings, drapery, and antique furnishings, and I personally loved the simple brass push button lighting controls to illuminate the vintage chandeliers and sconces. We were even lucky enough to witness a supermoon rising from the south, opposite the château's façade, as we were dining al fresco late into the evening, which was truly magical.
If you're looking for a unique destination for a family reunion or celebration, I highly recommend staying there. We can't wait to return!
